in schools. This innovative website includes scheduled
live watching of artists and craftspeople in their
studios, video conferences between schools and artists
and fully interactive online workshops. Targeted at
key stages 2 and 3 pupils and their teachers in the
North East of England and Cumbria and Lancashire,
ArtisanCam North is free at the point of use to all.

A leading UK visual
arts information and advocacy organisation, providing
by subscription a-n Magazine and www.a-n.co.uk alongside
publications and resources that support artists' critical
and professional development and encourage good working
practices. Research into artists' current practices
and aspirations provides evidence for advocacy campaigns
and informs cultural development. Free professional
development material on www.a-n.co.uk includes The
artist's development toolkit, The artist's fees toolkit
and The Code of Practice for the Visual Arts.
APD
(Artists Professional Development network)
A UK-wide intelligence and support network, APD offers
a signpost to organisations with professional development
programmes for artists as a core function, hosts a
diary of professional development activities, organizes
occasional events that share and extend organisations'
knowledge and advocates for good practice in professional
development. APD is the visual arts partnership group
of CreativePeople.
